Bright Horizons Tintenbar is situated on Bundjalung Country in the beautiful Lennox Head hinterland, just 10 minutes from the pristine beaches of the Far North Coast.
We provide education and care for children aged six weeks to six years across three well-resourced playrooms.
Our gymnasium-sized indoor area opens directly onto the outdoor learning environment. It is an ideal place for children to enjoy extracurricular activities, strengthen kinship relationships and play together, with plenty of space for rainy days.
Our outdoor playground is surrounded by a majestic pine forest, abundant wildlife and natural beauty. It features vegetable gardens, a yarning circle, a traditional gunya, a sandpit and climbing equipment that challenges and supports children’s gross motor development.
Our educators respectfully acknowledge that parents and carers are their child’s first teachers. We are passionate about providing children and families with a welcoming, safe and secure learning environment, and about building strong, trusting and reciprocal relationships.
Our programs are designed to meet the individual needs of every child in our care and are guided by the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and Aboriginal Eight Ways of Learning.
Our educators acknowledge First Nations peoples and aim to deliver a program embedded with practices and experiences that respectfully educate children in culturally appropriate ways. Each morning, we pay our respects to Country at the yarning circle.
We are mindful of the world we live in and embed sustainable practices throughout our program. These include composting, worm farming, caring for native bees, gardening and caring for Country, as well as using water thoughtfully.
Through our Out and About program, educators thoughtfully plan excursions within the local area, helping children form meaningful connections with their community.
Come and Grow with Us. We are excited to be part of your child’s learning journey.
My name is Tanya Stuart, and I am the Service Manager at Bright Horizons Tintenbar.
I joined the Tintenbar team in January 2025, bringing 25 years of experience in the early childhood sector. My career began in 2000 as a centre chef, but I soon discovered that my passion was working directly with children and became an educator in the toddler room. I continued my studies and now hold an Advanced Diploma of Children’s Services, and I have partially completed a Bachelor of Early Childhood degree. I became a centre manager 18 years ago and have remained in this rewarding role ever since. I have three children and three adorable grandchildren and another on the way.
As educators, we have the privilege of guiding children through some of the most significant developmental milestones of their lives. I strive to create an environment where children feel safe, supported and encouraged to learn and grow to the best of their abilities, while providing families with consistent, high-quality care they can trust. I am passionate about fostering strong, reciprocal relationships and ensuring every child feels welcomed and respected.
As Service Manager, I am committed to ensuring every member of our team feels supported and valued. I believe in remaining hands-on and engaged so I can offer guidance whenever it is needed.
I am fortunate to lead a team of experienced, passionate and professional early childhood educators who are dedicated to building positive, collaborative partnerships with families.
At Bright Horizons Tintenbar, we are committed to providing meaningful, culturally appropriate experiences that build confidence and include every child. I believe strong relationships with families are essential to meeting each child’s individual needs. Our highly qualified team works closely with families to provide thoughtful and responsive care.
I look forward to meeting you, building lasting relationships and sharing in your children’s wonderful journey of learning and growth at our service.
