Situated on Wiradjuri Country at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, Bright Horizons Childcare Tumut is a small, homely centre conveniently located close to the town centre, local schools and hospital. Our three welcoming learning environments provide personalised education and care for children from 6 weeks through to school age.
Our passionate, experienced team includes Bachelor of Teaching and Diploma-qualified educators. Three educators have also completed a Certificate I in the Wiradjuri language, supporting our commitment to embedding local culture and connection to Country in everyday learning.
Children enjoy a range of experiences that nurture their confidence, curiosity and wellbeing, including our Wellness Program, yoga with our qualified in-house Kids Yoga Teacher, and swimming led by our Early Childhood Teacher and qualified Austswim instructor. Our Out and About program and centre bus provide opportunities to explore local parks, gardens, the library and other community spaces, extending learning beyond the centre.
We work closely with families and local schools through our dedicated Transition to School Program, helping children build independence and confidence for their next chapter. Open from 6:30am to 6:30pm, we also provide nutritious meals developed in collaboration with a local dietitian.
Our smaller size allows us to build meaningful relationships with every child and family, creating a warm community where children feel safe, valued and connected.

Hi, I’m Angela, the Service Manager at Bright Horizons Tumut. Outside of work, my wonderful partner and three beautiful children keep me busy!
My journey in early childhood education began 17 years ago with a traineeship after finishing Year 12. Since then, I have completed my Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and a Bachelor of Teaching (Birth–5 Years).
What I love most about my work is the cheeky smiles we’re greeted with each day and the fact that no two days are ever the same. Whether a child learns a new skill, tries something for the first time or sets off on a little adventure, there is always something special to share and celebrate.
I’m particularly passionate about nature play and have completed courses through the Nature Academy. I also love our Out and About program, which gives children opportunities to explore, learn and have fun beyond the centre while connecting with the world around them.
I’m currently completing a Certificate I in the Wiradjuri language and enjoying deepening my connection with the language and culture of our local community.
